Renovating the community hall
During the 2022 community consultation forum of the Trust, it was noted that the hall needed repairs, a facelift, fixing, and better accessibility for all people in the community. People were disabled from accessing the hall because it was not accessible by people who use wheelchairs. The ablution facility was also not functional. Most of the windows were broken, making the hall unpleasant to use, especially in bad weather conditions.
The Trust has committed to building a ramp at the main entrance of the hall, fixing the windows, and ensuring that the electricity and ablution facilities are restored. The Trust has also committed to repainting the facility, which has not been done for many years. To achieve a community sense of ownership, the Trust hopes that local businesses and community members will be employed to renovate the facility. The renovation of this facility will provide a safe and conducive place for community members to meet.
