De Aar: Inaugural Premiers Easter Soccer Tournament a Huge Success!

Amongst the vibrant spectators were soccer legends Jerry Skhosana, former Orlando Pirates player, Clement Mazibuko, former Sundowns player as well as Nhlanhla Khubeka, former Kaizer Chiefs player who are all soccer scouts. The scouts, who frequently visit the Province have taken eight boys to trials and thus far three have been signed to Orlando Pirates, Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs with the rest awaiting their outcomes.

In his address, Premier Dr. Zamani Saul on behalf of Provincial Government wished the teams well and encouraged them to take up this opportunity. He also thanked the Trust for their support and for making this event possible. Zukile Tom, Programme Manager for the Trust gave some words of encouragement to the youth, encouraging them to work hard and to believe in themselves.
